A Message from our Chief Clinical Officer

Recovery is possible!  Below is a definition of what recovery means at West Michigan CMH.  While every person’s recovery path looks different, the goals are the same: moving forward, learning to living one’s best life, and managing life’s problems in the healthiest way possible.  When individuals with a mental health, intellectual/developmental, or substance use disorder seek help from West Michigan CMH, they are met by a member of our team who holds the belief that everyone can recover and learn to manage their conditions better and navigate their life more successfully.  As we provide our treatment services, our staff seek to build hope, confidence, and the skills that help people move forward on their own recovery pathway.

“Recovery is a journey of healing and transformation enabling a person with a mental health challenge or substance use disorder to live a meaningful life in a community of his or her choice while striving to achieve his or her full potential.” Federal Definition
