Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP)
The Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP) partners with West Michigan CMH to shape, improve, and enhance the quality of West Michigan CMH services.
The consumer perspective is critical to West Michigan CMH, and members of this panel give valuable input from their experiences. Their feedback allows us the opportunity to view services through the eyes of the people we serve. In turn, this helps shape our processes and enhance our services, and it is critical to the success of West Michigan CMH and the current, potential, and future people we serve.
Additionally, through ongoing educational opportunities, Consumer Advisory Panel members become informed about mental health issues and are ambassadors in our community.
The Consumer Advisory Panel’s membership consists of:
- People (either adults or children) with a mental illness, developmental disability, or substance use disorder and their family members
- People of the populations we serve (adults and children with a mental illness, developmental disability, or substance use disorder)
- People of the counties we serve (Lake, Mason, and Oceana counties)
