Mason County

Mason County is home to the administrative offices of West Michigan Community Mental Health System which are located in Ludington just off of US 10. Ludington is also the location of Dimensions Unlimited, our gathering site for adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities.

Ludington is a beautiful lakeside community located on Michigan’s west coast about 60 miles north of Muskegon, 90 miles northwest of Grand Rapids, and 80 miles southwest of Traverse City. It features the jewel of the Michigan State Park system and one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. With a population of about 8,500, Ludington is the largest and western-most town in Mason County which has a population of about 28,000.
